Description : We’ll start by spending 30 minutes setting up our Zbrush workflow so we can work much faster and more efficiently. Next we’ll make our orc’s head and I’ll explain what you should pay attention to when modeling the head of a humanoid creature.
Then we will make hair, teeth and eyes from scratch. After that we will make a muscular orc body, again from a sphere, following our concept.
Once we’ve finished with the orc’s body, we’ll move on to creating the bull’s head, eyes, and teeth. Then we will make the body of a bull by following some links from the Internet. After this we will continue to create a 3D sketch of the armor, belts and rings of the bulls to get them in the correct position. We’ll do the same for the orc. This is a pretty important step and at the end of it we will have a very good idea of โโwhat our model will look like when it is completed.
Then it’s time to start removing belts, armor, gloves and boots.
We’ll also make a brush that will make placing all those small metal parts like belt buckles, caps, and rings super easy and quick.
After that we will start finishing everything we have done, adding thickness and details. At the end of this stage the models will start to look pretty good. Then it’s time to make our orc’s weapon – a large battle ax and add it to the scene. We then learn how to make materials such as metal and leather that increase the believability of our creatures. Once we’re happy with the overall look of the orc rider, I’ll show you how to create a nice pose with the Transpose Wizard in Zbrush. Finally, we’ll make render passes in Zbrush and combine them in Photoshop to achieve the best look for our sculpt.
