We are excited to announce the first release of Batch Render Creator v3.0.0 pre-alpha 1! This version is available as a portable version for everyone to test. However, after the pre-alpha 1 and 2 stages, only project supporters will have access to the alpha and beta versions, so be sure to take advantage of this early release!
THIS APP IS BEING BUILT ON MY OTHER APP To-Do List, so there may be conflicting information in the UI at the moment.
This pre-alpha release has many limitations, with the primary focus on testing the render core, which has been developed in Rust for high performance and stability. It is designed to handle Blender more efficiently, overcoming limitations that version 2 could not resolve.
Features Working and Ready for Testing:
- Blender Version Selection: Choose the version of Blender you want to use.
- Auto Load Projects: Drag and drop your projects into BRC, and it will automatically load all project data.
- Start/Stop Render Function: You can start and stop renders. (Pause functionality will be added in future versions.)
- Render Completion Detection: BRC detects when Blender has finished rendering and moves to the next project, even when addons like “super_io” cause issues with command-line operations.
- Render Time Estimation: Now based on the average of the last three renders for better accuracy.
- Frame and Project Counters: Track the number of frames rendered and total projects.
- Sound and Message System: Although incomplete, basic sounds and messages are working (more will be added).
Features Missing or Incomplete:
This pre-alpha is focused solely on testing the render core. Many visual elements and intelligent recovery tools are yet to be implemented. Below are some of the upcoming features that will be added:
- “Smart” Auto-Recovery System for Blender crashes.
- Pause Render Functionality.
- Save and Open BRC Projects.
- BRC File Association.
- Project Data Storage: Currently, data is saved in local storage, but the BRC database is functional.
- UI and Visual Bug Fixes: Several UI bugs and visual inconsistencies need to be addressed.
- Notification and Sound Tools: Finalizing sound and message notifications.
- Post-Render Actions: Implement actions that occur after rendering is complete.
- Project Edit Window: Several adjustments needed for buttons and interface elements.
- Camera Control: Changing the camera in the project edit window is not functional yet.
These are the main areas that still need work.
